I've always thought it was a Twin Grobe trailer. Were you able to look inside? The fittings may give some clues.

Upon examination this appears to be the old C-FUSD (long gone from York) trailer. It has fittings for a Twin Grob and the plan is to make it road worthy to help with the sale of our Twin.

Excellent!!! One less impediment to finalizing a sale.

This Looks like a monolith left behind by an alien civilization. Arthur C Clark might know. (joking)

As a member of the former Fly Up Side Down Grob twin two acro consortium, I'm certain it ain't our old trailer. I helped pack USD into it's trailer and watched as the new owner, a United Airlines pilot and his wife drove it off the field on it's way to North or South Carolina. Also, an old photo of USD on Wings n Wheels shows the trailer in the background and you can make out a single wheel with a fender on it's right side. The trailer at the field has the same shape but with double wheels and axles but no fenders.
I was sorry to see USD go as it was by far the best flying of all the several twin Grobs I flew. Also the absolute cheapest flying anywhere.
