Re: Field Condition Closures

I think I've gotta side with Charles here, although I'm not sure I have a workable solution. Certainly, it's not realistic to expect anyone to drive out on a weekend they'd otherwise spend doing other things, just to check how wet the runway is. However, if I interpret what happened correctly, nobod...

Re: The new sign is a great improvement

Dunno about that... traffic on Highway 9 is getting thick these days... people may have more time to read it than you think :P I jest. Pictures being worth a thousand words, I think it serves its purpose quite well. And let me reiterate - my sole complaint about the previous sign was that it looked ...

Re: The new sign is a great improvement

I would point out that we have highway signs either side of the 5th line, with arrows, that point down the road. We also have similar highway signs on 6 and 10. We have active Facebook and Twitter pages as well as our website with clear directions and information. Eh, I only mentioned my desire for...

The new sign is a great improvement

We got a new sign put up on the side of Highway 9. It looks great. Although I'm sure some of us will disagree on whether too much or too little information is there (personally I would have at least added "first driveway on the right" or something like that), all I really care about is tha...

Re: Saturday NEWS

Saturday, September 18th Aside from the lacklustre lift, it was a good day today. EKV made her maiden flight today piloted by Doug Carman, after a fine professional cleaning led by Cole Bishop and a great insurance deal negotiated by President Bax. She flew well, and should keep us flying when LTX i...

Re: COVID Restrictions for the rest of 2021 season

I agree - thank you for your sometimes tireless and thankless work on this issue. Two points of clarification: 1) By "COVID vaccination", are we requiring both shots (+14 days?), or are folks who have received their first dose but awaiting their second considered vaccinated? And 2) Are we ...

Re: Where can I get propane lines for my oven in Arthur?

Thanks, I gave him a call to see if he can fit me in when he shows up to service another trailer, John also gave me his number as he's coming by to service his battery.

He's got the window knobs and door latch I need, and he can flare and fit propane lines for my oven.

Where can I get propane lines for my oven in Arthur?

I recently bought a trailer and moved in to Millionaire's Row, the second trailer past the welcome sign, the 1970's Shasta. The oven doesn't work. I really want the oven to work. I've taken out the pilot and burner lines to the oven, and yeah, both of them had enough holes to prevent the oven from w...

Re: RV Trailers for Sale

Nice trailer, Tracey. If anyone's looking for the link, here it is: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-travel-trailer-camper/guelph/2011-cougar-travel-trailer-30-1-queen-bedroom/1580211421 Too much trailer for me (both of them) and I just "inherited" a trailer on Millionaire's Row, or I might be aski...

I left a lunch in the fridge

Sorry, I just realized I left a takeout container of wieners&beans in the clubhouse fridge. If anyone's feeling brave, feel free to eat it, but otherwise, if someone would kindly throw it out, I would appreciate it. I hate being that guy who forgets his food in the office fridge and lets it go t...
